Guam - The Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority is five homes closer to achieving Governor Eddie Calvo's goal to build 3,000 affordable homes for Guam residents. According to GHURA acting executive director Mike Duenas, the Renewal Homes Project includes five homes that were unveiled today in Machanao, Dededo with another five ready for ribbon cutting in three months in Machanaonao. The total cost of the renewal homes project is $1.74 million.

"Income-eligible first-time home buyers will have the opportunity to achieve the Guamerican dream of home ownership," he said. "These homes have a selling price of $155,000. (For you math majors, this sales price is below our actual costs.)"

Duenas says both communities are thriving areas for families and GHURA stays committed to make home ownership attainable for families.
