LEAC could go up $0.02

A day after the Public Utilities Commission approved its rate rollback petition, the Consolidated Commission on Utilities approved the Guam Power Authority's request to file a petition to increase the Levelized Energy Adjustment Clause by two cents.

Guam - A day after the Public Utilities Commission approved its rate rollback petition, the Consolidated Commission on Utilities approved the Guam Power Authority's request to file a petition to increase the Levelized Energy Adjustment Clause by two cents. CCU chairman Simon Sanchez says the increase in the LEAC would result in about a 7% increase of the total bill or around $20 for the typical residential customer.

If approved by the PUC, the LEAC would take affect February first of next year.
