Guam - Thieves are once again targeting the village of Sinajana. Mayor-elect Robert Hofmann says there has been an alarming increase in recent weeks of home and car break-ins. He says he too often gets reports to his office that residents' valuable items and even Christmas presents were taken from their homes.
"But we need more troops on the ground and a there needs to be a higher visibility of GPD in the Christmas season. It's good to do drunk and drugged enforcement, but I think our residents want to see some of the presence in the neighborhood patrol," he said.
If you have any information on these crimes contact crime stoppers at 477-HELP (4357). We should note on average there are only five police officers per shift and three vehicles to patrol the entire central part of Guam.
