Guam - A woman accused of stalking the public affairs officer of the Marine Corps Activity - Guam Aisha Bakkar, was found not guilty in Superior Court. Janet Aguon was charged with simple stalking as a third degree felony. She was accused of texting intimate messages and making unexpected appearances at the public affairs officers home between April and July of 2011.

But Aguon testified that they had a mutual friendship, and even helped watch Bakkar's children on more than one occasion. Following the not guilty verdict, the retired army first sergeant is now trying to clear her name. "My lawyer is preparing a letter to the commander of the Marianas Pacific right on down to the chain of command to find out why was I entrapped at NCTAMS and arrested illegally and all these people will have to account for all of their actions," she said.

Bakkar had testified that they shared a lot of things because they were good friends.
