Tiyan High School to host Titan Day and Mes CHamoru at Agana Shopping Center
Tiyan High School invites the community to join its annual Titan Day and Mes CHamoru Celebration on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Agana Shopping Center.
Titan Day is a community outreach event designed to highlight the diverse academic programs and opportunities available at Tiyan High School.
During the event, students and teachers representing the school’s 12 career pathways, along with various clubs and organizations, will share information and showcase student work with parents, prospective students, and community members.
The event provides an opportunity for families to learn more about the innovative programs, student leadership opportunities, and hands-on learning experiences offered at THS.
THS will also celebrate by opening our Mes CHamoru, a month-long observance honoring the language, culture, and heritage of the indigenous people of the Mariånas.
Mes CHamoru features activities that celebrate traditional music, food, storytelling, dance, and cultural practices. The celebration helps educate, promote, and perpetuate CHamoru traditions for future generations.
The 2026 Mes CHamoru theme is, “I Fino' CHamoru Muna'Såtton Saina yan Påtgon: The CHamoru Language Creates an Intergenerational Connection Between Parent and Child.”
This year’s theme emphasizes the vital role of the CHamoru language in strengthening bonds between generations and preserving cultural identity within families and the broader community.
