Guam - A 40-year-old man died Tuesday evening after he lost control of his car and ran off the roadway along Route 16 in Harmon. Traffic was blocked off for several hours as Guam Police Department officers investigated the crash.
GPD spokesperson Officer A.J. Balajadia says the man was driving a 2006 Nissan XTerra towards the underpass when he veered across the northbound lanes and ran off the road near Mendioka Street. Medics performed CPR en route to the Guam Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:36pm. Highway Patrol Division officers are trying to determine the exact cause of the crash.
Medics indicated the man could have been having medical problems before the crash occurred.
An autopsy is expected to be conducted on Wednesday.
