Guam - The Department of Public Works warns candidates that the deadline to take down your political signs was last week November 21. According to deputy directory Carl Dominguez, DPW is responsible for enforcing the sign law, adding it only covers political signs that are on government property or in the government's right of way. DPW has no jurisdiction if signs are placed on private property.
He adds if candidates don't follow the law, they have a risk of forfeiting their $200 deposit. If you see any signs still in violation of the law, call DPW's Highway Encroachment Division at 649-3114.
