Guam - Today is the deadline for the final election campaign and contributions report for candidates who ran in the general election. According to Guam Election Commission executive director Maria Pangelinan, GEC will still accept reports by the end of the business day. "So it holds the political campaigns accountable to the public and what people donate to these organizations and political campaigns with everything spent is acceptable and appropriate," she said.

All the information will be used for when the GEC completes its comparative analysis report due to the Governor's Office and the Guam Legislature by next year. The information will also be forward to the GEC board before its next meeting on December 19.

Meanwhile, a GEC subcommittee will be meeting this evening to continue discussions and address the complaints and discrepancies stemming from the general election. Over two dozen administrative complaints were filed and while the GEC certified the results last week, people can file an election contest with the court 15 days after certification.
