SSHS teacher earns national certification

Guam - A Guam teacher has earned the distinction as a National Board Certified Teacher for the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. The Department of Education congratulates Simon Sanchez High School art teacher Ronald A. Canos on his achievement as he earned a total weighted score in the certification course that equals or exceeds 275.

Canos, who has been teaching for 14 years, was selected as Guam Teacher of the Year in 2008 where he is listed in the National Roster of State Teachers of the Year for Guam.
