Guam - KUAM News has discovered a fence has been erected around an illegal dump in Yigo. Back in August the Guam Environmental Protection Agency issued a notice of violation to Yigo resident Tomas Taitano after a solid waste complaint was made for illegal dumping on the property just off the Back Road to Andersen Air Force Base.

When inspectors responded back in June, they observed burning paper, aluminum cans, plastics, metals, and other materials prompting the regulatory agency to issue the NOV along with an administrative penalty order of $1,000, but Taitano has yet to respond.

GEPA spokesperson Tammy Jo Anderson Taft says the NOV includes a corrective action plan, but she is unsure if building the fence was part of that plan.
