Guam - The new Guam Memorial Hospital chief financial officer's contract continues to sit at the Bureau of Budget Management & Research, awaiting approval before it heads to the governor for his signature.  The hospital intends to hire Arizona-based Alan C. Ulrich for the next two years in hopes he can help breath some life into the flatlining finances at the hospital.

Ulrich is a consultant and has decades of experience working with hospitals and as CFO for several large health companies in the mainland.  Officials are hoping the contract will be signed before the end of the month to have Ulrich start next month.

He will be paid $145,000 a year.
