Guam - From local clothing designers, jewelers, performers, and herb farmers, 50 ladies participated in today's annual Bank of Guam Women in Business Conference, themed "Creating A Sustainable Business and Life."
Program Coordinator Denise Mendiola-Hertslet told KUAM News, "One of the biggest challenges women are having right now is access to capital, so access to money, so one of the things we're talking about are non-traditional ways of being able to grow your business like using online technology, websites, blogging and Facebook and social media. And being able to actually post videos on YouTube to be able to draw people to your websites."
She added that women are also learning how to access money via grants and opportunities through the Guam Economic Development Authority.
