Mangilao honors island veterans

Guam - The community also gathered Sunday afternoon at the Vietnam Veteran's of America - 668 Guam Chapter in Mangilao honoring the fallen heroes during the Vietnam conflict. Richard Southern is a Vietnam veteran and member of the organization since 1996. He gave the keynote address.

"On this Veterans Day we honor our nation's best from all areas and branches throughout our great nation and the world, thank you for your service and your sacrifice and we must not forget to also thank our families," said Southern.

The ceremony was also a one-year anniversary for the completion of the memorial that honors 77 of our late Vietnam veterans.
