Guam - With a mission to strengthen the fight against HIV/AIDS in the Pacific, Public Health will be hosting the 4th Annual Regional Summit on HIV/AIDS this week. More than 150 service providers, volunteers, practitioners, social and health professionals, government officials and community leaders are expected to attend the three day summit as they look to highlight HIV/AIDS surveillance and trends, develop prevention, treatment and care and community planning and strengthen partnerships and collaboration between jurisdictions within Pacific islands.
The summit will be held at the Hyatt Hotel on Tuesday through Thursday of this week. As a result of the summit, the STD-HIV offices at the Mangilao Public Health and the Northern Region Community Health Center will be closed.
