Another Yigo illegal dump gets NOV
Guam - The Guam Environmental Protection Agency is after another illegal dump owner along the Back Road to Andersen Air Force Base. According to GEPA spokesperson Tammy Jo Anderson Taft, the agency first received a complaint about the site catching fire in June.
"Guam EPA has finished our review of a fire that was at a site owned by Tomas Taitano off the Back Road to Andersen and after the review and investigation the Guam EPA has issued a notice of violation to Mr. Taitano and an order of compliance. And the items in the order compliance require them to stop dumping solid waste illegally on the property and a plan to clean it up," she said.
GEPA issued the NOV and order of compliance to Taitano back in august along with an administrative penalty order of $1,000 for violations outlined in the NOV.
