DOE gets three-year grant for Common Core

Guam - Superintendent Jon Fernandez has just returned from a post award meeting with U.S. Department of Education officials.  DOE has been awarded a $3 million three-year grant that will be used to support administrator and teacher leadership to advance Common Core education practices at the school level.  Fernandez says with local financial challenges, the money will allow the agency of focus on outcomes and strategies to deploy the resources as effectively as possible.
