Guam - After hosting several village meetings on Proposal 'A', Guam mayors and vice mayors have voiced their opposition to the for-profit bingo initiative. Mayors Council of Guam president Dededo mayor Melissa Savares says, "This initiative is fundamentally flawed and the issues and concerns raised by the Committee to Keep Guam Good are valid. We stand with the Democratic Party of Guam, the Republican Party of Guam, and the Guam Chinese Chamber of Commerce in voting 'no'."
Of note was that Asan-Maina mayor Benny San Nicolasis for Prop 'A', and Ben Taitague of Talofofo had no response on the issue.
Prop 'A' would allow for profit bingo exclusively at the former Guam Greyhound facility and adjacent properties in Tamuning.
