Senators commit to less-costly energy forms

Guam - The Democratic leadership in the Guam legislature as well as the party's candidates running in the upcoming election signed a resolution today acknowledging that Guam must pursue less costly and more energy secure alternatives which include the use of liquefied natural gas fuel.
The Democrats maintain that in doing so and supporting the use of LNG fuel and alternative energy sources, the island can realize over $1 billion in savings over the next three decades. The resolution supports GPA's pursuit of diversified fuel sources and working with Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo in encouraging the Department of Energy to extend tax incentives to Guam companies that provide alternative renewable energy locally.
