Guam - The Ancestral Lands Commission held a special signing ceremony this afternoon, giving land back to several families. Governor Eddie Calvo first signed two deeds, giving property in Radio, Barrigada back to the families of Joaquin Taitano Blas and Vicente Muna Flores.

Louisa Flores-Wessling was among several family members present during today's ceremony at Adelup, and said, "This has been long coming for so many years and it's just wonderful that you folks were able to expedite this here in just the recent years and I'm sure the people of Guam truly from the bottom of hearts, thank you for your hard work."

To date, Governor Calvo has transferred nearly 20 properties back to original landowners. Ten other families received their agricultural and residential leases as well as property from the Land for the Landless Program this afternoon.
