Hubtec, Young Kim plead guilty to lying to feds

Guam - Hubtec International Corporation president Young Kim has signed a plea agreement and will plead guilty to making a false statement in connection with a highway project. According to court documents, Kim admitted that he and his company used Korean Steel material on the federally funded Route 2 road construction project.
Kim admits that he submitted false reports on two tests regarding the quality of the reinforcement steel bars that were used for the project. The total loss to the federal government was $150,000.
Kim is scheduled to officially change his plea before the court on Monday afternoon.
