Guam - SAT-10 scores were released today by the Department of Education. Deputy superintendent for curriculum and instruction Joe Sanchez presented the results to principals of elementary, middle and high schools this afternoon. While the results show a higher percentage of students in the below basic performance level in subjects of reading, language and math, Sanchez applauds school admin for shows students scores overall have progressed significantly.

"Start thinking if there are actual things that you are doing deliberately to affect or change the scores. So for a lot of schools they are implementing certain programs you need to determine if its those programs having that effect. What's really encouraging is a lot of the schools that traditionally do not do well are doing a lot better this year," he said.
