Guam - Residents in the Astumbo area of Dededo estimate hundreds of gallons of water have been wasted as this water leak has gone unrepaired for more than two months.  Resident Cody George says he and neighbors have made numerous calls to the Guam Waterworks Authority about this water leak, but nobody has come to repair it.

George says the leak has flooded a part of his backyard ruining plants and attracting mosquitoes, telling KUAM News, "They should come out once we make a complaint about the stuff because it's not our pipe and we are just concerned because all the mosquitoes are attacking us at nighttime."

GWA spokesperson Heidi Ballendorf says a crew will be sent out to assess the leak, but she adds that there is currently a backlog and crews are behind on repairing them so it may take between 7-10 days to respond.
