Guam - The Guam Police and Fire Departments are calling several new pieces of equipment they received a vital resource for island residents who enjoy the water. The two public safety agencies gathered today to present four new jet-ski's and rescue sleds recently purchased through a recreational boating and safety grant. The new gear cost a total of $83,000 and will be stationed at the Hagatna and Agat Marinas. The jetskis are capable of fighting high surf, and will be used during rescue missions to pull distressed individuals quickly from the water.
