Guam - We Are Guahan's Leevin Camacho is encouraging the island community to review the expanded Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement released last week by the Department of Defense. The SEIS outlines two new alternatives for the proposed Marines' live-fire training range.

"One thing I want to stress is that DOD has identified alternatives, but that doesn't mean that we have to accept those the people are always entitled to say here's some alternatives that you should consider," Camacho noted.

One of the main reasons why the SEIS had to be done was because of We Are Guahan's lawsuit filed because DOD didn't examine other alternative sites when it proposed Pagat - an ancient Chamorro village - as the site for the training range. According to Camacho, this is their mulligan.  For more information go to GuamBuildupEIS.us.
