Guam - Omega Safety Compliance Asia Pacific's president and chief safety manager Bill Shippey spoke before the Rotary Club today on the different regulatory compliance citations and violations that have been issued on Guam from OSHA, EPA and Department of Transportation. According to Shippey, many businesses on Guam are not proactive in regulatory compliance but rather reactive.

"They won't go out and find out what they need to comply with in the beginning and what they'll do is they'll find out later once they get hit with a citation, now they know the laws and they know the rules and want to comply afterwards," he said.

He adds Guam has some of the highest citations when it comes to safety issues.
