Federal funding preserves island culture

$408,000 in grants will go to help preserve the island's culture and promote locally grown goods on Guam.

Guam - $408,000 in grants will go to help preserve the island's culture and promote locally grown goods on Guam. Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo announced today that Pa'a Taotaota Tano will be able to use the money to establish a Chamorro dance and traditions academy that will promote authentic cultural traditions of Chamorro dance, chants/songs, and weaving. 

Farm to Table Guam Corporation will be able to develop marketing opportunities for local agricultural products.
