Guam - The AG's Office testified last week that it needed more time to review Bill 513. On the floor today minority leader Senator Frank Blas Jr expressed concerns about the bill saying You don't change the rules of the game in the middle of the game, or in the middle of a football game you don't say we're going to play on a baseball field. Meanwhile senators Aline Yamashita and Sam Mabini who were original co-sponsors of the bill made a motion on the floor to remove their names from the legislation. Both felt more deliberation was needed on the bill. Senator Yamashita said she does not believe Bill 513 is going to address healthcare issues that are all around us, the fix is serious and everyone needs to sit down and address it together.
