Although Phase I of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) renovations are complete at George Washington High School, the Department of Education has announced it will not lift the double session schedule from the Mangilao school just yet in order to ensure optimum safety for the students.

The project is ahead of schedule as the deadline for the upgrades to the 17 classrooms was set for October 5th.

DOE officials are set to walk through the school this week to assess the work.
