Guam - Some of the Marines and sailors of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit spent some time cleaning up Tagachang Beach in Yona. The group spent some time giving back to the local community. Chaplain Lieutenant David Jeltema says the marines and sailors helped clear the brush and vegetation, painted the pavilion and cleaned up bus stops in the village.

"This is a great opportunity for us to get off the ship and enjoy the beautiful island and the beautiful community here in Yona," the officer shared.

The Marines and sailors have been on island for the last week conducting readiness training.
