Woman arrested for stealing 40 cases of corned beef

Guam - A woman who stole 40 cases of corned beef told police she sold it to friends who were leaving to the Philippines to make some money. Josephine Reyes De Guzman is charged with theft of property and theft by deception.
According to court documents, De Guzman claimed to be an employee at a local restaurant and ordered $3,300 worth of Ox and Palm Corned Beef on several occasions. When the restaurant received the invoices, they disputed them as no employee had made the orders. De Guzman was positively identified through her Facebook page and later admitted to police that she sold the corned beef because she needed money.
