Guam - If legislation introduced by Senator Adolpho Palacios is passed, law enforcement officers who have been waiting for their raises could see interest charged on what's owed to them.

According to Bill 515, it would apply 6% interest, per annum, to all unpaid balances owed to public safety and law enforcement officers who are entitled to the 40% compensation adjustment established by law in 2008. The 40% adjustment was to be paid over a four year period, however due to budget constraints public safety and law enforcement officers have only received 20% of the increment.
