UOG polls voters

Covering several post-election issues, students from the University of Guam released the findings of their most recent poll. 140 registered voters were surveyed via telephone.

Guam - Covering several post-election issues, students from the University of Guam released the findings of their most recent poll. 140 registered voters were surveyed via telephone.

Starting with the first question: what do you think is the top issue our leaders need to address?

-30 percent responded economy and jobs

-29-percent said education

- followed by health care and crime..

-9 percent responded no opinion and

-only 3 percent responded the military buildup. According to UOG professor Ron Mcninch the economy and education normally are the top issues.

As for how people responded when asked who do you think will win the race for governor in the 2014 Guam elections?

-40 percent responded Calvo,

-30 percent had no opinion

-7-perecent responded Gutierrez,

-while one percent responded Underwood, Rodriguez and Respicio respectively.

 

The final question asked was do you think the military buildup will be good for Guam or not good for Guam?

A resounding 72 percent responded good, while 21 percent responded not good and 7 percent responded they had no opinion.
