Guam - Pay-Less Supermarkets celebrates a mission accomplished three months ahead of schedule. Executive vice president Kathy Sgro says it's a milestone to reach their initial goal to keep 1.1 million plastic bags from being distributed throughout the island as payless contributes 28% of the 40 million plastic bags used annually on Guam.

"We have a social responsibility because of the number of bags we distribute in our community we feel that it's important to make a difference and offer an option," she said.

Pay-Less Supermarkets continues the Mission: Zero Bags campaign and is now working to keep 5 million plastic bags from hitting our landfill.
