Guam - It could be a long afternoon for the Guam Fire Department as it responds to a fire at the Global Recycling Center in Dededo. According to GFD Spokesperson Lt. Ed Artero the fire spans approximately a half acre lot and was reported to E911 at 12:52 this afternoon. Lt. Artero adding three units from the Guam Fire Department are on the scene along with a tanker from Andersen Air Force Base. Heavy equipment operators have also been mobilized to help move debris so that firefighters can extinguish the blaze. Lt. Artero adds the fire is consuming white goods, tires and junk cars located on the lot.
