Guam - I-Famagu'on-Ta held its Systems of Care expansion planning meeting yesterday hoping to move forward with the implementation of plans that have been developing for over a decade. According to administrator for children services under the Department of Mental Health Annie Unpingco, the training discussed developing cognitive behavioral interventions and working together with family members and the youth.

She explained, "I think the fact that our families are gathering with us, they are opening up to express their feelings to their stories, the young people are becoming more vocals because their voice is very important in the movement that we're doing."

She adds many of the ideas were established by law under the Guam Systems of Care Council in developing one unified systems of care for children from birth up to 21 years old.
