Guam - The Guam Visitors Bureau is looking to round out the fiscal year with 170,000 Korean visitors. According to deputy general manager Nate Denight, a delegation recently returned from Busan, the second largest city in Korea.

Starting in October, Busan will have direct flight service to Guam twice a week via Jeju Air. "Our Korean market it's really been growing. When Japan was down after the tsunami last year the Korean market really grew. It's a really good opportunity for us to diversify our markets and not be so dependent on just Japan," said Denight.

Governor Eddie Calvo adds the increased strides in tourism this year with the approval of the Russian Parole Authority. Reports show there's a 1,000% jump in Russian tourists for August 2012. In addition, GVB reports over 1.1 million total visitors this fiscal year.
