Guam - The US Department of Agriculture is paying a visit to the Guam Community college this week. Hawaii state director for USDA Rural Development Chris Kanazawa will be taking a look at how the $3.5 million loaned to GCC is being spent. The college borrowed the funds earlier this year to renovate the foundation building, which is scheduled to open this November. The 21,000 square foot building will provide classrooms and testing rooms for adult basic education, adult secondary education and English as second language courses. It will also come equipped with a bookstore and cafe for students. Kanazawa will tour the facility tomorrow morning along with USDA area director Joe Diego.
