Guam - Governor Eddie Calvo this morning announced his appointment of Attorney Maria Cenzon to serve as judge in the Superior Court of Guam. If confirmed she would fill the vacancy left with the retirement of Judge Elizabeth Barrett Anderson. Cenzon is currently serving as the Governor's Legal Counsel. She took over the position after Attorney James Canto was confirmed as a judge in the Superior Court last October. Cenzon's experience includes serving as the Director of Policy, Planning and Community Relations from April 2010 to October 2011, from March 2009 to April 2010 she was attorney at Carlsmith Ball, prior to that she was a partner at Cabot Mantanona LLP from January 2008 to March 2009, she was also a partner at Mair Mair Spade and Thompson between March 1997 to January 2008.
