Ishizaki reflects on 9/11
by Nick Delgado
Guam - Former senator, former chief of police and retired FBI agent Frank Ishizaki spoke before island Rotarians about his recollections of 9/11 and how the country has changed since them. Ishizaki was the FBI agent in charge of Guam during the time of the attacks on America.
He said he received the wake up call just at around eleven o'clock at night and watched the news as the second plane crashed into second tower of the World Trade Center. "I think we all see some of the change like TSA and the creation of homeland security in Guam," he said. "We look at the partnerships with the feds the military and our government and private sector, which is important. So there are a lot of changes awareness to the threat of America is more evident today before 9/11."
Meanwhile, the Rotary Club of Northern Guam will hold a special memorial service tomorrow at Two Lovers Point where they constructed a peace memorial as a tribute to the victims of 9/11.
