DepCor beefs-up inspection enforcement

Guam - An increase in attempts by either inmates, detainees or even people out in the community to smuggle contraband items into the Department of Corrections facilities has DOC management including warden Frank Crisostomo and director Jose San Agustin beefing up their inspection efforts to change that. DepCor spokesperson Lieutenant Antone Aguon says every individual goes through a thorough search and inspection of what items they bring onto prison grounds.

"All the vehicles entering the department are stopped and being searched, shakedowns have increased and the entire compound was did last week," he told KUAM News.

The prison also has a strict no-cell phone policy.
