"What Your Idea of Fun Is" art contest

Guam - The next time you head to the Guam Premier Outlets, make sure to stop by and take a look at the beautiful artwork on display as part of a contest sponsored by iConnect, Resorts World Manila and the Islandwide Beautification Task Force. Matt Geiger, chief business development officer for iConnect, said, "What we did was we did an islandwide callout for artists in the adult and the kids division to submit artwork on what their idea of fun was. And over the last couple of months we got a lot of submissions and really cool ideas."

Naoko Shimizu is co-chair of the IBTF and said, "The ones that I saw that were really touching that I saw is that people bring fun but its always about our culture there was a drawing of a man'amkos' hand and you can see a child dong the amen."

And Stephen Riley is the executive vice president of Resorts World Manila. "The whole idea of what is your idea of fun is something we take you know in the Philippines we recently launched its more fun in the Philippines the beatification you're lucky you only have one island to beautify we have 7,000. I'm going to take a lot of ideas back there's been some wonderful art here," he explained.

Judging is currently underway with the announcement of the winners expected next week.  The adult category winner will receive a VIP weekend trip for two to Resorts World Manila and have the art painted on a wall mural in cooperation with the IBTF; the child category winner will receive a Samsung Galaxy Tablet and have the art painted on a bus stop with the help of iConnect and the IBTF.
