US, Japan looking to boost surveillance

Guam - The online edition of the Japan Times reports that Japan and the U.S. are looking to jointly use facilities here to boost surveillance by unmanned reconnaissance aircraft in the Western Pacific to counter China's growing military might. Already Global Hawks are operating out of Guam. According to the report Tokyo plans to buy several unmanned spy drones by Fiscal Year 2020 at the latest.
