Mangilao couple arrested for drugs-in-mail

Guam - A Mangilao couple was arrested for allegedly trying to import drugs in mail. Marissa Nauta Crisostomo and Justin Robert Cruz were arrested by police on Monday after picking up a package at the post office that contained crystal methamphetamine and marijuana.
A drug detection dog alerted authorities to a heavily taped packaged that was sent from Chula Vista, California. Inside they found 264 grams of the drug ice and 296 grams of marijuana. Cruz allegedly called to inquire about the parcel and provided the correct tracking number.
Crisosotomo was arrested after providing handwritten authorization from her boyfriend to pick-up the package. She was charged with conspiracy to import controlled substances, while Cruz was arrested for importation of schedule one and two controlled substances.
