Guam - The air conditioning may have been up and running at the E-911 Center in Agana Heights for about a week now, but the fire department is not yet ready to move in. According to supervisor Lieutenant Phil Camacho, Homeland Security had just put out a purchase order for the vents to be cleaned out.

The A/C went out for weeks forcing 911 personnel to relocate to their redundant station in Dededo.

Despite Guam homeland spokesperson Alyssa Benito saying the A/C is operating, gfd spokesperson ed artero says the air handler system still needs to be repaired and the vents need to be cleaned before GFD can move back in.

Camacho says although the temporary center is not fully outfitted like the Agana Heights facility, he says operations is running good so far. It's unknown at this time when 911 personnel will move back.
