Guam - The Guam Election Commission met this afternoon to officially certify the results for all the races from last Saturday's primary election. Going into the general election, the GEC is still accepting candidacy packets for the Consolidated Commission on Utilities and the Guam Education Board.

According to GEC executive director Maria Pangelinan, only Joey Duenas has filed candidacy to fill one of two seats on the CCU. As for six seats on the GEB, only three have filed including Ron Ayuyu, Maria Gutierrez and Peter Alexis Ada. The deadline to submit completed candidacy packets for both CCU and GEB is on September 7.

Voter registration meanwhile will resume September 4 to vote in the general election.
