Guam - Guam Resource Recovery Partners is calling on the disqualification of two Guam Environmental Protection Agency board of directors members. GRRP has requested Florida Sanchez and Robert Perron recuse themselves from hearing the company's appeal of the agency's denial of the Guatali landfill permit application.

According to a press release, the company asserts that Perron is the president and owner of Mr. Rubbishman and Sanchez's brother is also an owner of Rubbishman. GRRP claims Perron's company has a lucrative contract for the hauling of waste to the Layon landfill and profits could be threatened if GRRP were to open a competing, private landfill.

The Guam EPA will schedule an administrative hearing on GRRP's appeal in the coming weeks.
