Guam –A total of seventeen candidates responded to the We Are Guahan survey, despite concern and criticism that the surveys are impossible to answer in an accurate and informative manner.The organization reports the responses came from ten incumbents and seven new candidates. Among those who responded are Senators Tom Ada, Tina Muna Barnes, Judith Guthertz, Adolpho Palacios, Ben Pangelinan, Dennis Rodriguez Jr, Rory Respicio as well as candidates Joe San Agustin, Tommy Morrison, Gary Gumataotao, Roland Blas, and Javier Atalig. Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo and Karlo Dizon also responded to the survey.

WAG states 14 of the 17 candidates do not support the Department of Defense getting more land, and that all stated they do not support destruction of over seventy acres of coral reef to accommodate a nuclear aircraft carrier. All respondents also believe DoD should pay for impacts on Guam's water system, wastewater system, roads, port, schools and hospital. Additionally all candidates except Senator Pangelinan, support the military buildup and believe most people on Guam will benefit economically from it.
