Guam - Guam is getting some PR at the Republican National Convention which is still underway in Tampa Florida. The Miami Herald's Pulitzer Prize winner for commentary Dave Barry had an unexpected interview with Governor Eddie Calvo. He said he was wandering the convention floor when he saw a guy standing near the Guam sign wearing a necklace made out of nuts. When he asked him about the necklace the individual asked him would he like to interview the governor.

Berry wrote you can't really say no in that situation, so next thing he knew he was talking to Governor Eddie Calvo.

He said the best question he could come up with on such short notice was what time it was in Guam.  Calvo responded Guam was 14 hours ahead, "I'm from the future!".

Berry wrote Calvo also said some things about the Guam economy, but he was still writing down the quote about the future, so he missed them. "I believe he said tourism is important, so next time you're making vacation plans, think about Guam, ok? They seem very nice, based on the governor.

Guam meanwhile also got some PR with Comedy Central's Indecision 2012 coverage.
