Guam - A medical foster home program will be developed on Guam as the home-based primary care program is expanding. The Department of Veterans Affairs' Pacific Islands Health Care System announced that expansion of the program will be a great benefit for veterans by offering them an alternative to nursing home placement.

The Medical First Home Program requires a caregiver to live in the home and provide 24-hour personal care and supervision to the residents. The VA is seeking potential caregivers for the program who can provide 24/7 care to veterans in a home-like environment.  Those interested should call 475-5785.
