Guam - Members of the Guam Education Board are not expressing support to the idea of opening a Guahan Academy Charter School. "It's a mess," said board member Barry Mead. "And just for the record I am not one to believe in being in competition with myself and we are already supplementing the D.I. program in our schools which is what the charter school plans to be last year $3.4 million came out of Title V funds for the D.I. program now we're going to talk about $5,500-dollars more per student to open a charter school that does D.I."

The Guam Academy Charter School has yet to find a location, but hopes to start classes in October.
